Who said it was impossible to have an intimate wedding in downtown Montreal? This is exactly what Julie and Shaun did in a ceremony mixing French and English cultures at the Thomson House on McGill University campus. Both finishing their studies, they got to host their celebration at this lovely limestone mansion belonging to the post graduate association. The location offers a breathtaking view on the urban landscape with its large skyscrapers in the background, but still conveys an intimate atmosphere.
After meeting at summer camp in their early teens, the two lovebirds fell madly in love in their twenties. A love so strong, not even studies or long distance could break it apart. It’s too bad images don’t have sound. You would have definitely shed a few tears after hearing their touching vows! The eternal road work in the area delayed our schedule. However, this allowed me to photograph the last moments of the bride’s getting ready with her grandmother. Can you image she made her granddaughter’s dress from scratch?! It’s a remarkable work, just like the rest of the celebration that went without any other issue 🙂
